"The Card Counter", William Tell is a gambler and former soldier, tells the story of his journey with a young man in search of revenge against a common enemy from their past. Tell only wants to play with cards, but his reign at the casino is disrupted when Cirk comes into power. Cirk, a young and ambitious man, seeks help from William Tell. Tell believes they might have mutual interests with Cirk. Together, they start seeking financial support from La Linda for their gambling ventures and embark on a journey from one casino to another. Suddenly, Tell finds himself plunged back into his dark past...
