Max Mercer is a young boy who is left home alone while his family is on vacation in Japan. During this time, a married couple attempts to retrieve a priceless heirloom from the Mercer family. As they try to enter the house without permission, it is up to Max to keep them away. Max is determined to protect his home from these unwanted guests and is willing to do whatever it takes. The film follows Max's courageous efforts to defend his house.
